As a general rule, Ludo dice are small, six-sided dice similar in size to those used in other board games. The standard size for a Ludo dice is around 16mm (0.63 inches) on each side - and they do come in smaller sizes like 12mm or 10mm.

Ludo tokens are small game pieces, typically made of plastic, and they are in four colours - red, yellow, green, and blue. Each player that takes part in this game gets four tokens of the same colour.

Ludo has been enjoyed by people of all ages across generations. Here are the basic rules for playing Ludo with dice and tokens:

• Each player picks a set of tokens of different colour.
• Players roll the dice to and this determines the order of play, with the highest roller going first.
• A player rolls the dice on each turn to determine how many spaces their token can move. Tokens generally go around in a clockwise around the board as per the dice roll.
• A player must roll a six to activate a token.
• Rolling six three times consecutively results in a missed turn.
• If you want to land on an opponent’s token sends it back to the start space.
• Rolling a six gives the player an extra turn.
• Players need to roll the exact number on their Ludo Dice to get into home space.
• The first player to get all their tokens to the home space wins the game. If two or more players achieve this simultaneously, the game ends in a tie.
