WinZO Rummy

Objective: The objective of this skill-based game is to reduce your points by scoring sets and sequences from all the 13 cards that a player possesses. Gameplay: -The game is either played between minimum 2 and maximum 6 players. - Each player is dealt 13 cards and they have to make either sequences or sets or both with all the cards. Each player starts with 80 points. Dealer information : - After the cards are dealt, the player with the lowest card value becomes the dealer. This player will be the last one to make a move on every turn. How to Play: - At each round, the player has the option to pick a card from the deck and discard a card. The decision to discard a card should be taken by a player after carefully analysing the cards the player has been dealt with and the cards which have been discarded by other players. - A player's objective is to reduce the points. For a player to finish the game, they must have a minimum of 2 sequences, one of which should be a 'pure sequence'. A 'pure sequence' is a collection of 3 or more consecutive cards of the same suit. eg. 7,8,9 of spades. - The rest of the cards can be grouped into sets or sequences, which can be pure or impure. An impure sequence is the one where there are 3 or more consecutive cards but not all are from the same suit. A set is a group of 3 or 4 cards of the same face value but different suits. eg. 4 of spade + 4 of hearts + 4 of clubs. - If 6 cards are grouped together as a sequence, they will be considered as one sequence and not two. Hence, the player must be careful while preparing a group. - Printed Joker is a Joker and can be grouped with any other sequence or set. Another Joker is the one which is opened at the bottom of the deck from which cards are distributed. Adding a 'wild card' to any of the sequences makes it an 'impure sequence'. - The first player to make valid sets or sequences from all the cards available to them is declared the winner. The player should have the ability to memorize the cards the opponent is discarding and accordingly not give them the cards which will enable them to win. - A player also has the option of quitting the match. If the player quits without playing a turn, they lose 1/4th of their boot amount. If they declare after playing a turn, they lose 1/2 of their boot amount. Scoring: - Each card from 2-10 carries the same number of points as the denomination on the card. - Each face card carries 10 points. - The Joker carries 0 points. Timer : - There is a 15 seconds timer at each turn and the player has to play their turn before the timer runs out. If a player misses 3 turns, they are exited from the game. Duration of the play : The game continues till one of the players completes all sets and declares. The following information is provided to the players on the screen: 1. Score: The player's score is shown to the player. As the score is increasing/decreasing, the player is able to track their score 2. Timer ; For each turn, the player is able to view the timer which indicates the remaining time the player has to play their turn. 3. Pooled money : The player can see the money pooled during the game and take decisions accordingly. - The player who makes sets or sequence from all the 13 cards declares and is the winner. - At the time the winner declares, the remaining points of each of the other player/players on the table which are not part of a valid set or sequence are counted. - The total points of all the remaining players multiplied by the Rupee value of each point is the winning amount. - There is only 1 winner. The aggregate contributions by all players will constitute the Prize Money Pool. The amount in the Prize Money Pool is credited to the wallet of the winning player(s) after deducting the Platform Fee (when applicable) charged by WinZO for providing players access to the game.
